- What does a generative AI consultant actually do?
- Decides what is worth building and then makes sure it gets built properly. In practice that means auditing your data and constraints, ranking the opportunities honestly, prototyping the riskiest assumption early, and either implementing the result or handing your team a plan detailed enough to act on.
- How is this different from an AI automation consultant?
- Automation work connects existing tools so a process runs without a human. This overlaps with it but goes further into the product: features built into your application, where the engineering — evals, failure handling, cost control — is the substance of the job.
- How do you charge?
- Fixed scope for defined pieces of work, or a retainer for ongoing engineering. Either way the scope is agreed before anything starts, so there is no open-ended meter running.
- Do you work outside Boise?
- Yes. The practice is based in Boise, Idaho and most engagements are remote.
